Financial controller

About the assignment

The assignment is with one of Consult Work’s clients. Out of consideration for the client, the company is presented in more detail at a first interview.

Your responsibilities

As Financial controller you are responsible for making sure financial reporting is accurate, on time and in line with applicable regulations. The role covers both operational and analytical work, in close cooperation with the finance director and management.

Your main tasks

• Responsibility for monthly, quarterly and annual closing
• External and internal financial reporting
• Ensuring compliance with internal processes, policies and regulations
• Reconciliations and quality assurance of the accounts
• Contact with auditors and audit documentation
• Improving and automating processes in the finance function

Your profile

You have at least three years of experience as a Financial controller and a solid background in accounting or auditing. You are meticulous, structured and comfortable moving between details and the bigger picture.

You have very good systems skills and work fluently in Excel. Experience of Power Pivot and Power Query is a plus. You communicate fluently in Swedish and English, spoken and written.

As a person you are solution-oriented, unpretentious and good at prioritising.

Key success factors

• At least three years of experience as a Financial controller
• Strong accounting skills, ideally with an auditing background
• Experience of closing and external reporting
• Very good systems skills and advanced Excel skills
• Fluent Swedish and English, spoken and written
