Why we started Consult Work

Consult Work was founded by former finance and IT students who today have long industry experience – in controlling, accounting, financial management, BI and systems development, among other areas. We have worked in the roles we now help companies fill.

That experience is the foundation of everything we do. Anyone who has closed the monthly books, built a forecast or led a system change knows what separates a good candidate from one who only looks good on paper – and which questions reveal the difference.

The idea for Consult Work was born while we worked as controllers, finance professionals and IT specialists for many different employers. We saw the same thing again and again: it was hard to find the right candidate. Recruitments dragged on, consultants who looked good on paper could not handle the day-to-day work, and finance functions struggled while the position stood empty.

We knew what it took – because we had done the job. So we started Consult Work, a consulting and recruitment company where the people assessing candidates have worked in the roles themselves. Companies get a partner who understands both the numbers and the business.
