Financial controller

Your responsibilities

As Financial controller you will be a key player in a Nordic controller team, helping to build a robust, high-quality and forward-looking finance function. The role covers both operational and analytical work, in close cooperation with local management and the parent company.

Your main tasks include

• Quality assurance of monthly, quarterly and annual closings
• Ensuring compliance with internal processes, policies and regulations
• Monthly reporting to the group/parent company
• Budgeting and forecasting, including variance analysis
• Ongoing financial follow-up and reporting to management
• Preparing financial analyses and decision support for the business

In addition to day-to-day work, there are good opportunities to take part in projects and to contribute actively to change, improvement and automation initiatives in the finance function.

Your profile

You have at least three years of experience as a Financial controller and a solid background in accounting or auditing. You are analytical, proactive and comfortable moving between details and the bigger picture.

You are highly proficient with systems and work fluently in Excel. Experience of Power Pivot and Power Query is a strong advantage, as the team works purposefully on making reporting and analysis more efficient and automated. You are comfortable in a changing environment and see opportunities in working for an international organisation. You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, spoken and written.

As a person you are solution-oriented, structured and communicative. You are unpretentious, good at prioritising and enjoy a team-oriented way of working where knowledge is shared and results are achieved together.

Key success factors

• At least three years of experience as a Financial controller
• Strong accounting skills and good analytical ability
• A proactive attitude to improvement and development work
• Very good systems skills and advanced Excel skills
• Experience of Power Pivot and Power Query
• Fluent Swedish and English, spoken and written
